A fifth-grade student was kidnapped in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on July 30th. The police swiftly recovered the girl. The mastermind behind the abduction was a gym trainer and painting teacher, who was in debt. He orchestrated the kidnapping with accomplices, demanding a ransom of 10 lakh rupees. The girl was taken from an e-rickshaw on her way to school. The police had alerted multiple districts and the girl was recovered within two hours of the abduction. The kidnappers abandoned the girl in Ramgarh district, 50 kilometers from Ranchi, after being overwhelmed by the police’s actions. Six individuals were arrested, including the mastermind and a minor. The police confiscated the car used in the kidnapping, a pistol, a country-made pistol, ammunition, and cash. The kidnappers had planned to take the girl to Bihar, but they abandoned their plan. The police were investigating the case and arrested the culprits within hours.
