In a coordinated effort, police in Ranchi, Jharkhand, arrested 121 individuals who were wanted for various crimes. The arrests were the result of a special drive involving 60 police teams and 216 officers, operating across 25 police stations in rural Ranchi. The crackdown targeted individuals accused of serious crimes such as murder, arms offenses, financial fraud, and property crimes.
Following the arrests, the suspects were brought to the New Police Line for processing. While 22 were released after providing bail documents, 99 were remanded to jail, including three alleged Naxalites. The operation demonstrates a significant commitment by the Ranchi police to address crime and maintain public safety. Furthermore, the authorities are working to improve traffic management in the city.
