The body of Lumba Oraon was found in a secluded area outside his village in Ranchi, Jharkhand, leading to immediate police involvement. Reports indicate the wife formed a relationship with a contractor, which evolved into an affair. The husband became an impediment to their relationship, leading to the installation of CCTV cameras in the home by the lover to monitor Lumba Oraon’s every move. The wife and the lover planned the murder.
When the husband, Lumba, confronted his wife about the affair, it led to conflict. Subsequently, the wife moved out, taking up residence in a nearby rental property.
The wife allegedly lured her husband to a meeting on Wednesday night, plying him with alcohol. On the way home, she and her lover reportedly murdered him and disposed of his body in the bushes to simulate an alcohol-related accident. Following the murder, the wife maintained contact with the family to avoid suspicion.
Upon discovery of the body on Thursday, the police were alerted, taking the body for a post-mortem at RIMS Hospital. The police have detained the wife and other suspects, launching a full investigation. Police officials have stated that the perpetrators will be apprehended promptly.
