In Ranchi, Jharkhand, a mobile shop was hit by thieves, resulting in the theft of 28 iPhones. The incident took place on Harmu Road, within the Kotwali police station jurisdiction. The stolen phones included the latest iPhone models, with an estimated value of 30 lakh rupees. The thieves reportedly conducted reconnaissance of the shop before committing the crime.
Shop owner Rahul Kumar Shukla reported that he had closed his shop on Thursday night. The thieves then broke into the shop by cutting the shutter. Inside, they stole mobile phones and accessories worth approximately 30 lakh rupees. The burglary was executed by six individuals. Rahul Kumar Shukla has lodged an FIR at the Kotwali police station.
Upon arriving at the shop on Friday, the shop owner discovered that the shop’s shutter was cut, and the lock was broken. Inside, he found that 28 mobile phones, including iPhones, were missing. The stolen phones are valued at approximately 30 lakh rupees.
The shop owner has filed a complaint with the Kotwali police station. The police are investigating the case, examining CCTV footage from the vicinity of the shop, and using other technical methods to apprehend the culprits involved in the theft of 30 lakhs worth of mobile phones.
This is not the first instance of robbery in Ranchi. Just a few months before this incident, four criminals looted the Jay Hind jewelers shop located at Block Chowk in the Ormanjhi police station area, taking approximately 12 lakh rupees worth of jewelry under the guise of buying gold rings.
