Ranchi is all set to host the thrilling India versus South Africa ODI clash on November 30th, with an unprecedented level of security. The JSCA International Stadium Complex is under a tight security cordon, with authorities deploying a formidable force of 5,000 personnel. This comprehensive security plan aims to guarantee the safety of all attendees and participants. The deployment comprises a diverse range of law enforcement units, including the ATS, IRB, and RAP, augmented by local police and a significant presence of women police officers. A high-level command structure will be in place, featuring six IPS officers, 15 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), and more than 30 Station House Officers (SHOs) to manage the vast security operation. To handle any eventualities, fire services and water cannons will be readily available. The Radisson Blu hotel, the players’ accommodation, has also been secured with dedicated police presence. Regular inspections of both the hotel and stadium are being conducted by senior officials to ensure all arrangements are in order. The commitment to providing a secure environment is paramount, with intelligence gathering and visible patrols by uniformed and plainclothes officers forming key components of the strategy.
