Ruby Devi, the alleged ‘Bhabhi Ji’ of a major drug trafficking operation spanning Bihar and Jharkhand, has surrendered to authorities in Ranchi. Police reports indicate that Ruby Devi, a native of Sasaram, Bihar, was the primary supplier of brown sugar to numerous drug peddlers in the region. According to DSP Prakash Soe, the investigation has exposed a vast drug network connecting Ranchi and Sasaram. The arrested drug traffickers confessed to procuring their supply from Ruby Devi in Sasaram and distributing it within Ranchi. Following her court surrender, Ruby Devi was taken into police custody, where she revealed the names of other individuals involved in the drug trade. The police are now investigating the full extent of the network. The investigation revealed that her family was also deeply involved. Her brother, Pintu Sahay, has been arrested, and another brother, Prince, is also implicated. Ruby Devi faces six cases in the Sukhdev Nagar police station, with further investigations into her criminal history underway. Ruby Devi was known for her ability to quickly fulfill drug orders. The police have also discovered that people from Ranchi would regularly travel to Sasaram to buy drugs. DSP Prakash Soe stated that the network was not only fueling drug trafficking but also ruining young people’s lives. The police promised that the racket would be eradicated. The police’s actions are expected to lead to a significant blow against the drug trade in Ranchi.
