In Namkum, Ranchi, a CID operation on Saturday exposed a fraudulent employment scheme. The CID team raided two locations: Pushpanjali Place on Ketari Bagan Ghat Road and the Aryavart Associate office near Lower Chutia Lota Factory. The raids were prompted by complaints of job seekers being deceived. Police apprehended 15 trainees from Pushpanjali Place and three others, including a computer operator, for questioning at Namkum police station. Investigators confiscated various items, including laptops, printers, and Ayurvedic products. The operation was led by senior police officials. Authorities are investigating the scheme, which allegedly involved promising jobs and collecting fees for skill-based programs. Trainees were purportedly shown attractive job prospects and then tasked with marketing Ayurvedic products. Those who failed to meet sales targets reportedly faced termination. A former trainee, who did not receive the promised employment, lodged a complaint that led to the raid. The investigation suggests hundreds of people may have been affected by the scam. The fraudsters used advertisements to lure people in with the promise of employment. They collected between 25,000 to 30,000 rupees from each trainee. The organization provided accommodation and food. After training, the trainees were sent for marketing the Ayurvedic products and in this way, they were being cheated.
