The much-anticipated annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath Mahaprabhu is set to take place on June 27th, promising a day filled with devotion and celebration. The event will be held at the ISKCON Temple in Kadma, where preparations are in their final stages. The Rath Yatra, a significant religious procession, is expected to draw large crowds of devotees.
Lord Jagannath, along with his siblings Balabhadra and Subhadra, will travel on chariots to the Gundicha Mata temple. The Yatra will begin at 3:00 PM from the ISKCON temple, proceeding through Kadma’s main routes like Brahmlok Dham, Kadma Main Road, and Kadma Bazaar, before culminating at the Rankini Temple. The procession is anticipated to include thousands of participants, including families, children, and the elderly.
Prior to the Rath Yatra, a special puja will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A large distribution of Mahabhog (Prasad) is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The main Rath Yatra will commence with a Maha Aarti at 3:00 PM, marking the beginning of the chariot procession of the deities.
Throughout the route, Maha Aartis will be performed at key locations, illuminated by Swarna Deep. Local leaders and community members will be present to partake in the auspicious event. The Rath Yatra will conclude at the Rankini Temple with concluding prayers and the distribution of Bhog.
The press conference saw the presence of key members of the Rath Sanchalan Samiti, including Tarakeshwar Pandit and several other dedicated volunteers and devotees.
