Sainik School Tilaiya in Koderma became a hub of national integration as 601 NCC cadets from across five states – Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand – convened for the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat-1/25’ national camp. This 12-day initiative, orchestrated by the Bihar and Jharkhand NCC Directorate and under the leadership of Colonel Vijay Kumar (SM) of the 45 Jharkhand Battalion NCC Koderma, saw cadets begin their sixth day with energizing physical training. The schedule was packed with diverse competitions, vibrant cultural exchanges, and skill-building workshops, all designed to promote unity and understanding.
Adding a significant dimension to the camp, the EXPA Group from Bengaluru conducted interactive sessions. Led by Anish Rahul, the team shared expertise on developing confidence, effective public speaking, self-reflection, and leadership capabilities. The EXPA Group’s mission, as explained by Rahul, is to create a unified platform for NCC cadets, nurture them into responsible global citizens, and enhance cross-cultural awareness. He highlighted the free nature of these workshops, which are specifically tailored to inspire cadets through in-depth lectures and practical exercises on subjects like self-analysis and critical thinking.
Cultural activities are a major focus, with Second Officer Abhijit Anand and Third Officer Naveen Choudhary overseeing preparations. NCC officers and girl cadet instructors from participating states are collaborating to present a rich tapestry of regional arts and traditions. These cultural displays are instrumental in reinforcing the principles of national unity and mutual cooperation.
The well-being and discipline of the cadets are diligently managed by Subedar Major Arvind Kumar. The smooth execution of training and logistical operations relies heavily on the dedicated efforts of Lieutenant Santosh Kumar, Subedars Balwinder Singh, A.N. Thakur, Chandrahass, Champa Murmur, Ravindra Hebram, Jatroo Tirkey, and Naib Subedar Ghasitaram (SM), along with the entire instructional and support staff of the 45 Jharkhand Battalion. The camp serves as a powerful platform for grooming future leaders and solidifying the ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ ideal.
