The festival of Muharram was celebrated on Sunday across various locations in the Sonaraythadi region, including Jamua, Chandna, Madhuban, Mahapur, Upar Nawadih, Tinghara, Bhorajamua, Binjha Kurwa, Chandanpura, Kharbaria, Bara, Barmotra, Kusumthar, Pipra, Paudeya, Paharidih, Heth Nawadih, Jeruwadih, and Dumaria. Processions featuring tazias were organized in Sonaraythadi, Chandna, and Upar Nawadih, with participants parading through the villages. The celebrations saw enthusiastic participation from children. Safiq Ansari, Hidayat Ansari, Basaruddin Mian, Kamarul Ansari, Moin Ansari, Alam Ansari, Kalam Ansari, Kalim Ansari, Rakib Ansari, and Jasim Ali were among those who exchanged greetings to mark the occasion. Local residents mentioned that the procession’s timing was slightly affected by rainfall.
