A historic initiative has been taken by the Jharkhand government for the meritorious students of the Scheduled Tribe category. With the cooperation of the prestigious Motion Education institute of Kota, free coaching for competitive exams like NEET and JEE will now be available to the students of Jharkhand in the state itself. Coaching will be conducted in the Welfare Department building located in Hindpidhi, Ranchi.
The responsibility for the operation and supervision of this scheme has been entrusted to the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes. On Tuesday, the department issued a work order to the coaching institute. In this, approximately 300 students from the state will benefit from this scheme in the first phase, whose selection has been done based on academic merit and prescribed criteria.
Welfare Minister Shri Chamra Linda said that it is extremely essential for our students to get opportunities and a platform in the field of higher education. It is the government’s priority to provide them with appropriate resources and environment so that children from Jharkhand can also go to IIT, AIIMS, and other prestigious institutions.
He said that currently, many talented students lag behind due to lack of resources and proper guidance. Our effort is that no poor student from Jharkhand returns unemployed, but rather returns as someone accomplished, with self-confidence. This initiative of the government will give new direction and energy to our youth.
Minister Shri Chamra Linda inspected the hostel, library, and dining hall along with Welfare Commissioner Shri Kuldeep Chaudhary and gave instructions for all necessary improvements and facilities. He said that the state government plans to send students from Jharkhand to Delhi for preparation for national competitive examinations like UPSC, Civil Services in the coming phases. In the first phase, students from ST category, in the second phase from SC, and later from OBC category will get its benefit.
Minister Shri Chamra Linda said that it is the state government’s priority that every meritorious student of Jharkhand gets an equal opportunity to hone their talent. There is no shortage of talent in Jharkhand. The need is to provide them direction, opportunity, and resources. The current era is one of fierce competition, and we must empower our students with resources and guidance.
