More than 30 children in Temki village, Latehar, Jharkhand, became sick after eating chow mein. They were immediately taken to Latehar Sadar Hospital for medical care, where they are now recovering.
The incident occurred during a fair held on Wednesday in Temki village, following the Jitiya festival. Children started vomiting after consuming chow mein at the fair. Upon learning of the situation, local residents alerted District Council member Vinod Uraon and former head Rajesh Uraon. These officials then contacted the Sadar Hospital, arranged ambulances, and ensured all children were transported to the hospital promptly. Dr. Jai Prakash Jaiswal, a pediatrician at Sadar Hospital, provided the necessary treatment. Most children have recovered and are no longer in danger. According to medical officer Dr. Jaiprakash Jaiswal, some children were severely affected, while others had milder symptoms. All are now reported to be out of danger.
