The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has announced the recruitment of Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) for 3181 positions across Jharkhand. This includes both regular and backlog vacancies, with 3020 regular and 161 backlog posts. An advertisement for the ANM Competitive Examination-2025 has been released by the JSSC. Exam Fee Details:
The examination fee is set at Rs 100, with a reduced fee of Rs 50 for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste candidates from Jharkhand. Disabled candidates with 40% or more disability in Jharkhand are exempt. Incorrect fee payment by candidates not belonging to the ST/SC categories could result in rejection of the application.
Examination Format:
The exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format. It will comprise one phase (main examination) with objective and multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will earn one mark, and there will be no negative marking. The exam can be taken in Hindi or English. The duration of the main exam will be one hour (60 minutes), consisting of 50 questions. Candidates failing to meet the minimum qualifying marks won’t be included in the merit list. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for the unreserved category, 32% for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and women, 34% for Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-1), 36.5% for Backward Classes (BC-Two), and 30% for Primitive Tribes, with relaxed standards for contractual workers with at least five years of service.
Merit List Preparation:
A merit list will be created based on the written exam, matriculation, intermediate, technical training, and work experience. The written examination will be worth a maximum of 50 marks, technical training 10 marks, educational qualification 40 marks, and work experience in Jharkhand government hospitals (5 marks per year completed) 50 marks, totaling 150 marks.
