The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) expressed deep sorrow over the demise of its founder, Shibu Soren, often referred to as Dishom Guru, with Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya calling it a monumental loss akin to a Himalayan landslide.
Bhattacharya emphasized that even though Guruji is no longer present, his core beliefs and the lessons he imparted would forever serve as a powerful source of motivation for everyone.
He elaborated that Guruji’s life was a testament to relentless struggle. He consistently championed social justice, even when facing opposition, and never conceded defeat. His efforts spurred the awakening of various communities including tribals, indigenous groups, Dalits, the exploited, workers, farmers, and women, empowering them to assert their rights.
Bhattacharya concluded that Guruji illuminated the path through education to combat ignorance, through struggle to combat exploitation, and towards a life of honor and respect.
