The Jivitputrika festival was observed in Khunti district on Sunday, marked by traditional celebrations and religious fervor. The Jivitputrika vrat was observed at multiple locations across Khunti, including Karra Road, Torpa Road, Pipratoli, Mishra Toli, and Badaik Tola, where sacred peepal tree branches were placed, and community prayers took place. Mothers from nearby areas gathered to perform the rituals and express their wishes for their children’s well-being. The event was filled with enthusiasm. Similar observances were carried out at various peepal trees.
Similar festivities occurred in Torpa, Karra, Rania, Murhu, Arki, and other administrative centers and rural areas, where the Jivitputrika festival was celebrated with devotion. The Jitiya festival was celebrated with joy in the district headquarters and other rural areas including Torpa, Rania, Murhu, and Arki.
