The Jain community in Jhumri Tilaiya, Koderma, marked World Bhaktamar Day with a grand and synchronized recitation of the Bhaktamar Stotra on October 9th. At precisely 9:09:09 AM, devotees gathered at the local Digambar Jain Temple to chant this sacred hymn, a key part of the celebrations commemorating Lord Mahavir Swami’s Nirvana Kalyanak. The event, promoted by Sakal Digambar Jain Samaj across India and globally, underscores the stotra’s importance in promoting universal peace and environmental purification. Community representative Jain Narendra Jhajhri highlighted that reciting the 48 verses of Bhaktamar is crucial for achieving peace and harmony, stating its energies purify the universe. He encouraged everyone to embrace the stotra for its power to remove suffering, fear, and illness. The spiritual zenith of the event was the blessing from Jain Saint Acharya 108 Pranam Sagar Ji Mahamuniraj, who coordinated the simultaneous chanting from Maharashtra. The significance of this day is being amplified by an attempt to enter this mass recitation into world records. The temple premises buzzed with spiritual energy, culminating in an evening Aarti and Namokar Chalisa recitation.
