Chaibasa witnessed a poignant commemoration of Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day and the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The central bus stand in the city was adorned with a statue of the iconic tribal leader, where a floral tribute ceremony was held to honor his memory and contributions.
The event saw the presence of prominent figures, including the state’s Minister for Revenue, Land Reforms, and Transport, Deepak Birua. He was accompanied by senior officials such as Deputy Commissioner Chandan Kumar, Superintendent of Police Amit Renu, Zila Parishad President Lakshmi Soren, and Deputy Development Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena. A broad spectrum of district-level officers, municipal representatives, local police, and community groups also participated in paying homage to ‘Dharti Aba’.
Addressing the attendees, Minister Birua highlighted the significance of this dual celebration – the state’s silver jubilee and Birsa Munda’s 150th birth anniversary. He drew a parallel between the state’s 25 years and youthful vigor, stressing that this is a crucial period for development. The minister affirmed that the Jharkhand government is actively implementing policies aimed at making the state’s populace self-sufficient and economically independent.
To mark the occasion, the minister, alongside the deputy commissioner, superintendent of police, and other officials, conveyed warm greetings to the citizens of Jharkhand for their 25th Foundation Day.
