The sanctity of marriage, built upon love, respect, and trust, can be shattered by conflict. A disturbing event in Lohardaga, Jharkhand, highlights the potential for domestic disputes to escalate to extreme violence.
The incident involved a husband slapping his wife during an argument. Enraged by the slap, the wife launched a violent attack, using a sharp object to inflict severe injuries to her husband’s private parts. The village was stunned by the incident, with widespread shock and concern.
The incident occurred in Juriya village, Lohardaga. The couple, Bihar Urav and his wife, were embroiled in a domestic dispute on Sunday evening. The argument led to the husband slapping his wife. In response, the wife retrieved a sharp weapon and attacked her husband’s private parts.
Local residents assisted in transporting the critically injured Bihar Urav to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital. Due to the severity of his condition, doctors are arranging to transfer him to RIMS Hospital in Ranchi for advanced care. The police have not yet received an official complaint regarding the incident.
This isn’t the first case of its kind in Jharkhand. Previously, in Dharnipahar village in Pakur district, a woman named Kamli Pahadin killed her husband, Lophda Pahadia, after a domestic quarrel. She used bricks to inflict fatal injuries to his private parts and head. Kamli Pahadin was subsequently arrested for the murder.
