Jharkhand is set to introduce mining tourism, a groundbreaking initiative that will allow visitors to experience the state’s mineral wealth firsthand. The project, a partnership between the government and CCL, will commence on August 5th. The Chief Minister has highlighted the aim of transforming Jharkhand’s mineral heritage into an exciting tourism experience. The tours will initially focus on the Urimari mines. Package prices vary depending on the itinerary, including guided tours, meals, and visits to sites like the Rajrappa temple and Patratu Valley. Safety guidelines are a priority, and trained guides will be available to explain the mining operations. The state government has signed an MoU with JTDCL to promote the project. The project aims to promote tourism and showcase Jharkhand’s mineral heritage to the world.
