Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, the RJD MLA, has been re-elected as the Jharkhand Pradesh President of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for the period of 2025-2028. This marks his second successive term in the position. The announcement came after it was revealed that he was the sole candidate after the nominations of other contenders were rejected. Yadav currently represents the Hussainabad constituency in the Jharkhand assembly as an RJD legislator. The nominations for the state president position were received until June 14th, and the scrutiny of the nominations took place on Sunday. During the scrutiny, it was found that Yadav’s nomination was valid as all of his proposers were members of the state council, leading to his acceptance. The nominations of the other candidates were rejected because their proposers did not meet the required criteria. Subsequently, since only Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav remained, he was declared the unopposed President for the term. Yadav has a history of winning the Hussainabad seat, first in 2000, then again in 2009 and most recently in 2024. After the announcement, party workers and supporters extended their congratulations to Yadav on his re-election.
