Jelenur Bibi reported that her husband, Laltu Sheikh, had gone to Ganpura Chowk on Tuesday night but did not return home. Concerned family members searched for him. Later that night, Laltu Sheikh was discovered at home, covered in blood. He communicated through gestures that Kalavati Murmu and others were responsible for cutting off his tongue.
Local residents suggest the victim is known to consume alcohol. It is speculated the incident may have occurred at Murmu’s house, where a disagreement over money related to alcohol consumption arose. Police are investigating the situation and considering various aspects of the incident.
