A horrific case of violence has been reported from the Chatra district of Jharkhand. A man was murdered by a group of people who suspected him of being a sorcerer. The attackers first mutilated the victim by cutting off his tongue. They then proceeded to beat him to death. After the killing, the perpetrators set the man’s body on fire. The victim has been identified as Dharmdev Uraon. The incident took place in Khuntitola village, within the Tandwa police station area. Following the incident, the police arrived at the village, but the accused individuals had already escaped. The police are actively searching for the suspects. The primary reason behind the murder appears to be related to the death of a young man who lived near Dharmdev Uraon some months ago. The family of the deceased young man accused Dharmdev of causing the death through witchcraft. The police investigation suggests that approximately six people were involved in this gruesome murder.
