Leaders from across Jharkhand, including the Governor, Chief Minister, and the Leader of Opposition, have conveyed their greetings to the people of Jharkhand on the auspicious occasion of Karma Puja. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar took to social media to share his wishes, noting the festival’s role in celebrating the bond between siblings, promoting environmental balance and conservation, and wishing everyone health, happiness, and prosperity.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren also extended his congratulations, highlighting Karma Puja as a celebration of the state’s culture, civilization, and way of life. He emphasized the festival’s depiction of the strong bond between siblings, social unity, and the deep-seated appreciation and respect for nature. He stated that the festival is a gift from our ancestors and through the rituals, people seek well-being, good harvests, and a healthy society.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Soren underscored the integral connection between human life and natural elements like water, forests, soil, and animals. He concluded by calling for the preservation of traditions, the empowerment of society, and environmental protection, offering best wishes for a life filled with happiness, tranquility, and prosperity.
The BJP’s State President, Babulal Marandi, also sent out his heartfelt greetings to all citizens, describing the festival as a symbol of tribal society’s culture, traditions, and their deep connection with nature. He urged everyone to draw inspiration from the tribal way of life and their love for nature to strengthen environmental protection and social harmony.
