In a recent cabinet meeting, the Jharkhand government sanctioned the dismissal of four female doctors serving in various districts. The doctors facing termination are Dr. Farhana (Gynecologist, Giridih Sadar Hospital), Dr. Jyoti Kumari (Medical Officer, Additional Primary Health Center, Balkush, Dhanbad, currently on deputation at Topchanchi PHC, Dhanbad), Dr. Bhavna (Medical Officer, Community Health Center, Markachho, Koderma), and Dr. Rinku Kumari Singh (Medical Officer, Community Health Center, Chandankiyari, Bokaro). Furthermore, the Cabinet approved the removal of Dr. Indranath Prasad, a medical officer from Sahibganj Sadar Hospital.
Additionally, the cabinet decided to allocate the Morhabadi-based residence of Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren to his wife, Rupi Soren. This was done in recognition of Guruji’s lifetime use of the property.
Beyond these key decisions, the cabinet approved several other measures. These included the Jharkhand Free and Compulsory Child Education (Second Amendment) Rules, 2025; guidelines for recording evidence of vulnerable witnesses; appointments on compassionate grounds; the Jharkhand State Road Safety Fund (Amendment) Rules-2025; provisions for pension benefits for temporary clerks in registration offices; re-publication of the Census-2027 notification; issuance of Jharkhand DGiz Donor Organ and Transplantation Guidelines; inclusion of subjects related to manual scavengers in the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department; administrative approval for the Punasi reservoir scheme; a post-facto approval related to the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana; establishment of a fund for international migrant workers; approval for the PMFME scheme; revised administrative approval for the construction of a road over bridge; transfer and reconstruction of a road in Ramgarh; adoption of Inland Vessels (Life Saving Appliances) Rules 2022; the formation of the State Sahitya Akademi and Jharkhand State Sangeet Natak Akademi; approval of the Jharkhand Tourism Development and Registration Act (Amendment) Bill-2025; participation in the World Bank-funded Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project; post-facto approval of the Jharkhand Coaching Center (Control and Regulation) Bill-2025; approval for various road construction projects; establishment of Anganwadi centers; approval for the Dhanbad Airport PPP project; scholarship scheme modifications; amendments to examination rules; amendments to the GST Act, and the Water Resources Contractor Registration Rules; approval for a government engineering college; establishment of Anganwadi centers under PM JANMAN; approval for road construction projects; and approvals for various power infrastructure projects, including grid sub-stations and transmission lines; acquisition of rescue vehicles for the Home Guard and Fire Service; the formation of the Jharkhand Budget Stabilization Fund; and approval related to the Jharkhand Beverages Corporation Limited (JSBCL).
