A favorable weather outlook is in store for many parts of Jharkhand, with the Meteorological Department forecasting light to moderate rain on Friday. This weather development is attributed to a low-pressure area currently situated over southern Bangladesh and its neighboring territories. The influence of this system is projected to cause scattered rainfall across the state.
The recent 24-hour period witnessed considerable rainfall, with Govindpur in Dhanbad district reporting the highest amount at 37.4 mm. Additionally, areas including Kumardungi, Maheshpur, Baharagora, Pulia Majgaon, and Govindpur recorded rainfall totals ranging from 10 to 25 mm, highlighting localized heavy downpours.
Thursday morning in Ranchi and its environs was characterized by thick, dark clouds, creating a cooler atmosphere and a tangible chill. Forecasters have indicated that temperatures are likely to remain stable over the coming five days, with no significant fluctuations anticipated.
Regarding temperatures, the state experienced a high of 35.5 degrees Celsius in Pakur during the last day, while Latehar recorded the lowest at 19 degrees Celsius. Other notable maximum temperatures included Ranchi (30°C), Jamshedpur, Daltonganj (32.4°C), Bokaro (33.6°C), and Chaibasa (32.8°C).
