The weather department has warned of heavy rainfall in various districts of Jharkhand today and has issued a yellow alert. The alert does not extend to the capital, Ranchi, where only light rain is expected. The districts under the yellow alert include Garhwa, Chatra, Palamu, Latehar, Deoghar, Giridih, Dhanbad, Jamtara, Dumka, Godda, Sahibganj, and Pakur. The forecast also includes the possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms in certain regions. A cyclone in Bengal and Bihar is contributing to the anticipated heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours. Rainfall is predicted in Ranchi on August 8th. In the last 24 hours, rainfall has been recorded as follows: Godda (Pathargama) – 170.2 mm, Pakur – 81.4 mm, Dumka – 35.3 mm, Latehar – 54 mm, Medininagar – 10 mm, Bokaro – 3 mm, and Ranchi – 1 mm.
