The Jharkhand Assembly convened to pay tribute to the late Ramdas Soren, who served as the state’s Education Minister. After his passing in Delhi on Friday night, his body was transported to Ranchi from Delhi on Saturday morning. The Assembly members gathered to offer their condolences at the Assembly, where the mortal remains were taken directly from the airport.
Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato noted the absence of Ramdas Soren and expressed the shock of his passing. He prayed for peace for the departed soul and offered his condolences to the family. He also hoped that Soren’s loved ones find strength during this challenging period.
Babulal Marandi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, expressed his sorrow upon learning of Education Minister Ramdas Soren’s death, calling it an irreparable loss for the state’s political landscape and community. He extended his prayers for the departed soul and offered strength to the grieving family.
Among those who offered tributes were Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, State Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, former minister Mithilesh Thakur, Lok Sabha MP Joba Manjhi, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Manjhi, Congress state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, former minister Badal Patralekh, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari and various other officials.
