The Maiya Samman Yojana, an initiative by the Hemant Soren government, has successfully transferred funds to the accounts of 349,080 women in Palamu, Jharkhand. A sum of 87.27 crore rupees was distributed through the treasury to these beneficiaries. Each woman received 2500 rupees, which was credited to their accounts starting Friday. The disbursement of funds for the month of May has been completed. Earlier, the funds for April were disbursed in June. The Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department has earmarked 559 crore rupees for this scheme, intended to cover a period of five months. The funds are accessible to those whose bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar and have the DBT option activated. In March, 372,937 beneficiaries in Palamu received a lump sum of 7500 rupees, covering three months’ worth of installments.
