A shooting incident occurred at a bar in Jharkhand when a former minister’s bodyguard resorted to gunfire after his request to play a Bhojpuri song was denied. The incident caused a state of panic inside the bar. The bar owner immediately reported the incident to the local police. The event took place at the Gravity Lounge and Bar located on Ratu Road. Thankfully, no one was hurt; otherwise, there could have been a major incident.
The former minister’s bodyguard used a licensed pistol to fire shots due to a disagreement over playing a Bhojpuri song. Upon receiving word of the shooting, the authorities were alarmed. The bar manager lodged a complaint against the accused bodyguard, Rahul Singh, at the Kotwali police station. Police action resulted in the arrest of Rahul Singh, a resident of Hinu, Doranda, Ranchi, and the seizure of his licensed pistol along with 21 cartridges.
