Dhanbad police have intensified their operations against criminal elements, mirroring tactics seen elsewhere. A dramatic early morning shootout in the Tetulmari police station area on Tuesday saw a criminal injured and apprehended. The encounter occurred near the water plant in Tilataad jungle, where police received intelligence about a group planning illicit activities. When confronted by the Tetulmari police PCR unit, a suspect named Bhanu Manjhi, reportedly a key operative for fugitive gangster Prince Khan, initiated a gun battle. Police returned fire, hitting Manjhi in the leg. The injured criminal was swiftly arrested and admitted to Dhanbad’s Asharfi Hospital for treatment under police supervision. Senior police officials, including the SSP, were on site to oversee the investigation. Manjhi is a wanted individual with multiple cases registered against him across Jamshedpur, Bokaro, and Dhanbad, and is believed to have been involved in spreading terror for Prince Khan’s gang. A bike and arms were seized from the location.
