In a shocking incident from Godda district, Jharkhand, a tribal minor girl was gang-raped by ten men during a wedding. The incident took place in the Sunderpahari police station area. According to reports, the minor had stepped out of the wedding venue at night.
The ten men attacked the girl, overpowered her, and dragged her to an isolated location within the village. The gang-rape caused outrage, prompting a village panchayat to be called.
Eight suspects have been apprehended. After the family sought justice, the Sunderpahari police took action, arresting eight individuals. All the accused are residents of the Sunderpahari area. They have been charged under the POCSO Act and other relevant laws. The police are actively searching for the remaining two suspects. This case follows a prior incident of a similar nature in the Godda district.
In a separate case in Bokaro, four men were arrested for the gang-rape of a woman. The criminals had accosted a couple returning from the market, forced them to drink alcohol, and subsequently, tied up the husband while they committed the crime. The Sector-12 police quickly responded and arrested all four perpetrators.
