During a visit to Jharkhand, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari experienced a change in his planned itinerary. After completing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremonies for national highway projects in Garhwa, he was supposed to head to Ranchi for the opening of an elevated corridor. However, Gadkari’s plans were disrupted. Gadkari had been greeted at Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi by Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth and other BJP leaders. Following his engagements in Garhwa, which included an announcement of Rs 2 lakh crore worth of infrastructure projects in Jharkhand, Gadkari was scheduled to return to Ranchi. Due to poor weather conditions in Garhwa that prevented his helicopter from flying, Gadkari was rerouted to Gaya. A chartered flight was subsequently arranged from Ranchi to bring him to the state capital, where he would inaugurate the Ratu Road elevated corridor later in the evening.
