In a heartbreaking event, four friends died by drowning in a check dam in the Kharsawan area of Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The incident took place in Dalailala village. Six friends had gone to the dam for a swim, but the outing turned fatal. Two friends remained outside the water while four others plunged in.
It is believed that the four may have suffered head injuries after colliding with a submerged rock or slab, leading to their drowning. The local police recovered the bodies and sent them for a post-mortem examination. The village is in deep mourning following the tragedy.
