Vijay Pan, from Baihatu village, was reportedly hit by a Manjila bus en route from Ranchi. The accident happened just outside his village, leading to immediate unrest. Enraged by the loss, the victim’s family and fellow villagers swiftly blocked the national highway, halting traffic for approximately three hours. Senior police officers were dispatched to the location and worked to de-escalate the situation through dialogue. Following extensive discussions and the disbursement of preliminary financial aid to the bereaved family, the demonstration concluded. Normal traffic operations resumed late in the evening.
