The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on the premises of former MLA Anba Prasad and individuals associated with her, resulting in the seizure of ₹15 lakh in cash and several crucial documents. The recovered documents suggest the involvement of Anba’s brother, Ankit Raj, and father, Yogendra Sav, in illicit sand mining activities. Following the raid, the ED is questioning CA Badal Goyal, from whose premises a significant amount of cash and important documents were found. The investigation also extended to the residence of Mantu Soni, a close associate of Anba’s family, situated in Hazaribagh. Officials have confirmed that the ED targeted eight locations linked to six individuals, including the former MLA, her personal assistant (PA), a chartered accountant (CA), along with petrol pump owners and sand traders. This marks the second time the ED has raided the former MLA and her associates. The recent raids, carried out on Friday morning in Ranchi and Hazaribagh, focused on the properties of Anba Prasad, her CA Badal Goyal, PA Sanjeet Kumar, petrol pump owner Prem Singh, sand trader Manoj Dangi, and Pancham Kumar. These actions follow the initial raids conducted on March 18, 2024, which provided the basis for the current operation. The ED’s Economic Offenses Information Report (ECIR) includes over a dozen FIRs filed against Anba Prasad and her family, accusing them of offenses such as extortion, land grabbing, disrupting NTPC operations, and forming the banned Tiger Group.
