A delegation of 28 female students from various government schools in East Singhbhum district returned from an educational visit to ISRO. The students met with Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi on Sunday to share their experiences and participate in a luncheon. The students shared their accounts of the three-day trip, calling it a life-changing experience. They described the experience as unique and unforgettable. They experienced their first time leaving their village, traveling by airplane, seeing an airport, visiting another state, and gaining insights into science, technology, art, and culture. A visit to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at ISRO in Sriharikota was a memorable experience, fostering pride and inspiration from the satellite launch process and the work of scientists. Visits to Mahabalipuram, museums, and historical sites in Chennai provided an immersion into Indian culture. The technical innovations observed at the RMK Institute of Engineering campus proved to be highly educational and inspiring. The students also noted the discipline and collaborative spirit of students at the Model School in Kovalam. Moreover, the visits to the MA Chidambaram Stadium and Railway Museum offered information on sports and Indian railway history. The students emphasized that the trip broadened their horizons and felt like a dream come true. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi praised the students’ enthusiasm and confidence, highlighting the excursion as an opportunity to guide their aspirations. He stated that the blend of science, culture, and technology would not only enlighten the students but also build their confidence. He expressed his belief that the students would become scientists, technical experts, and inspirational figures in society. Also present were Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan, DTO Dhananjay, outgoing Executive Magistrate cum DTO Dumka Mrityunjay Kumar, as well as the accompanying teachers and other distinguished guests.
