In preparation for the monsoon season, a 30-member NDRF team has been stationed in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. The deployment, which took place on July 3, 2025, aims to strengthen the district’s capacity for disaster management and relief operations. The state’s disaster management department authorized the deployment following a request from the Deputy Commissioner, Karn Satyarthi.
The deployed team is equipped to handle various emergencies, including flood situations, waterlogging, gas leaks, and drowning incidents. The team’s swift response was demonstrated when they rescued an individual who had fallen into the Jadugora reservoir, situated about 30 kilometers from Jamshedpur.
