The double murder in Amchua village, under the Shikaripara police station in Dumka district, sent shockwaves through the area. Police from Shikaripara police station, upon receiving information about the double homicide, took possession of the bodies of Sona Baski (70) and her granddaughter, Sona Murmu. The bodies were sent to Phulo Jhano Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The police also summoned the forensic team to collect evidence at the crime scene and initiated an investigation.
