The celebrated Deoghar Shravani Mela in Jharkhand was inaugurated with Vedic rituals on Thursday. The inauguration was led by Jharkhand’s Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar, Labour Minister Sanjay Yadav, and Panchayati Raj Minister Deepika Pandey Singh. They commenced the event with the traditional ribbon-cutting. Before the inauguration, the ministers, along with district officials, participated in a prayer ceremony with temple priests, reciting Vedic hymns. Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar and Labour Minister Sanjay Yadav joined the devotees in chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ and ‘Bol Bam’ as they entered through the Dumma gate. Minister Sudivya Kumar addressed the public, stating that this year’s mela has been given special attention. He mentioned that the event will use artificial intelligence to provide convenience to the pilgrims. He said that the success of any event requires the help of the local community. He urged the people of Deoghar to treat the visitors well. He added that there are plans to construct two flyovers next year to improve the experience of pilgrims. He said that the Chief Minister couldn’t attend the inauguration because he was attending a meeting led by the Union Home Minister. Panchayati Raj Minister Deepika Pandey Singh commended the district administration’s arrangements for the Shravani Mela. She stated that the Shravani Mela is one of the biggest events in Jharkhand, which attracts people from all over the world. She further stated that the government is focused on ensuring that Jharkhand’s image is positive for people from across the globe. Labour Minister Sanjay Yadav said that not only Deoghar but the entire Santhal region benefits from the mela. The people of the area eagerly await this annual event. He urged the people of Deoghar to showcase their culture and make the mela a success. Several notable figures attended the ceremony, including local MLAs and district officials. The world-famous Shravani Mela in Deoghar begins on July 11th. Devotees can walk from Sultanganj, a distance of approximately 110 kilometers, and enter the Baba Dham temple through the Dumma gate to perform the Jalabhishek.
