The closing ceremony of the 15-day residential training camp organized by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Jharkhand Province, at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi, was a significant event. Chitra Tai Joshi, the Akhil Bharatiya Sah Karyavahika, delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of Bharat Mata as the life force, providing for the physical, intellectual, and spiritual well-being of the nation. She advocated for dedicating every action and moment to the service of Bharat Mata.
The event also commemorated the 300th birth anniversary of Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar, praising her as a symbol of selfless service, righteousness, and just governance in Indian history. Her efforts to restore religious sites like Kashi Vishwanath, Prayagraj, and Rameshwaram were acknowledged as a revival of the nation’s cultural identity. Joshi also highlighted the inspirational legacy of Ahilyabai’s initiatives for women’s safety, respect, and self-reliance. The sacrifice of Rani Durgavati in defending her homeland against foreign invaders was remembered, underscoring her life as an emblem of courage, pride, and patriotism, encouraging attendees to seek inspiration from her ideals for national service.
Retired Director General of Police Nirmal Kaur, the chief guest, praised the discipline, energy, and service-oriented ethos of the Sevikas, recognizing that such camps contribute to building a nation of dutiful, morally upright, and patriotic citizens. The closing ceremony saw the participation of over 2000 individuals from various segments of society, including educational institutions, social organizations, intellectuals, and women’s groups.
The training camp brought together 225 Sevikas from 20 districts of Jharkhand. The core objective of the camp was to cultivate discipline, physical fitness, patriotism, and cultural values among young women. Daily activities included yoga, exercises, intellectual discussions, singing, and community service. The residential program encompassed comprehensive training for the Sevikas, addressing their physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual needs. The camp was guided by 14 instructors and 10 provincial-level officers, with valuable guidance from senior national workers like Sunita Haldekar, Chitra Tai Joshi, and Nita Ba. Padma Devi, the field contact head, provided constant support. The curriculum encompassed discussions and activities centered around patriotism, civic duty, social harmony, the use of indigenous products, and environmental conservation, under the direction of chief instructor Manu Shri.
A parade in full uniform by the Sevikas on June 6th through the town was a highlight, met with enthusiastic floral greetings from the public. The procession began at the Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir and concluded at the same venue after passing through the Durga Temple and Bus Stand.
Key figures present included Usha Singh (Provincial Director of Rashtra Sevika Samiti), Sharda Gupta (Provincial Karyavahika), Dr. Tripula Das (Provincial Sah Karyavahika), Nirmala Singh (Provincial Contact Head), Poonam Singh, Dr. Jigyas ओझा, Shalini Sachdev, Rita Singh, Suman Sinha, Ganita Jha, Kusum Lata Singh, Jayashree Kujur, Sudha Prajapati, and Aparna Singh.
Jamvanti Mishra (Provincial Intellectual Head) oversaw the camp as the class officer. Other attendees included Mridul Chaurasia (overall management head), Siddhanath Singh (member of the central village development dimension of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), provincial Sanghchalak Sachchidanand Agarwal and Sah Provincial Sanghchalak Ashok Srivastava, Vijay Ghosh, Gurusharan, Akhilesh Mishra, Ganesh Mishra, Asha Lakra, Aarti Kujur, Satyanarayan Kanth, Snigdh Ranjan, Sunil, Ranchi Department Karyavah Achal, representatives from Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, and numerous others.
