Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, along with his wife and MLA Mrs. Kalpana Soren, performed worship at Punay Than in the traditional manner of Lugubaba and prayed for the happiness, prosperity, well-being, and peace of the state’s residents. The Chief Minister said, ‘This festival is a testament to our unwavering faith and reverence towards our culture and traditions.’ ‘May this festival become even grander and more prosperous, this is our prayer to Lugubaba.’ ‘We can never forget the contribution of our ancestors in making the social system organized and better.’ ‘Our government is committed to preserving, enriching, and advancing our society, culture, traditions, and customs.’ ‘We all need to come forward for environmental protection.’ ‘Religion gives us the strength to improve the social system.’ This is not just a festival but a testament to our unwavering faith, reverence, and devotion towards our traditions and culture. We need to preserve our traditions and culture and strengthen them further so that future generations are aware of them and can play an important role in carrying these traditions forward. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren was addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day Luguburu, Ghantabari, Dharam Garh State Festival-2025, organized on the occasion of Kartik Purnima in Lalpania, Gomia block of Bokaro district, as the chief guest. The Chief Minister said that the better we understand our traditions and culture, the better society we can build. ‘I express my gratitude to all the devotees who have come here.’ The Chief Minister said that Luguburu is a holy place, especially for the Santal community, where lakhs of devotees from Jharkhand as well as other states of the country and abroad come every year on the occasion of Kartik Purnima for the Luguburu, Ghantabari Dharam Garh State Festival. They visit Lugubaba here and pray for prosperity through traditional rituals. This tradition has been continuing here for years. I express my gratitude to all the devotees who have come to this three-day state festival this year. We pray at the court of Lugubaba that this festival may achieve even greater grandeur and prosperity. ‘We are following the system established by our ancestors.’ The Chief Minister said that Luguburu is a stronghold of the Santal community, where our ancestors established a system that we have always been following. We can never forget the contribution of our ancestors in making the Santal society better and organized. The Chief Minister said that our government has always been serious about enriching and advancing our society, culture, traditions, and customs. ‘We are improving the arrangements here to provide maximum convenience to the devotees.’ The Chief Minister said that Luguburu, Ghantabari is a center of immense faith for us. Every year, lakhs of devotees come here and visit Lugubaba. In such a situation, efforts are being made to improve the arrangements here to provide maximum facilities and convenience to the devotees coming from within the country and abroad. This pilgrimage site is continuously moving towards establishing a distinct identity on the world map. ‘We have to move forward on the path shown by Dishom Guru.’ The Chief Minister said that Dishom Guru Shibu Soren ji is not among us today, but he had immense faith in Luguburu, Ghantabari from the beginning. He always used to visit the court of Lugubaba. Let us all together carry forward the thoughts and guidance he had towards Luguburu, so that this heritage always serves as an inspiration for our future generations. ‘There is the greatest need to save the environment today.’ The Chief Minister said that the tribal society has always been protecting and conserving nature. However, in the race for development today, water, forests, and land are disappearing. This is a great threat to nature. If we do not come forward for the sake of environmental protection, we will have to be prepared to face its dangerous consequences. He said that there is a need to take forward the struggle that our ancestors like Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Sidhu-Kanhu always fought for water, forests, and land. In this regard, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to set social rules for environmental protection and follow them. ‘People of different religions live here, but all are connected to each other.’ The Chief Minister said that people of different religions and denominations live in our country, but all are connected to each other and respect and honor each other’s traditions and customs. This thinking towards different religions makes us special. The Chief Minister further said that religion does not grow by one person. All systems related to religion are built and followed together. Religion gives us social strength. ‘A statue of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren ji will be installed at Luguburu.’ A statue of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren ji will be installed at Luguburu. In this regard, the Chief Minister handed over a terracotta replica of the late Shibu Soren ji to the Luguburu Ghantabari Dharam Garh State Festival Organizing Committee. Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, along with his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, performed worship of Lugubaba at Luguburu Ghantabari Dharam Garh Punay Than following traditional rituals and prayed for the state’s happiness, prosperity, and peace. He also paid homage by garlanding the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. On this occasion, Minister Shri Chamra Linda, Minister Shri Yogendra Prasad Mahto, MLA Mrs. Kalpana Soren, MLA Shri Umakant Rajak, Zilla Parishad President Mrs. Sunita Devi, Inspector General of Police, Coal Region Shri Sunil Bhaskar, Regional Chief Conservator of Forests Shri R. T. Pandian, General Manager of T.T.P.S.
