Today, the families of martyred constables Sunil Kumar Ram and Santan Kumar Mehta of Palamu district force met Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren at his official residence on Kanke Road, Ranchi. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren handed over a check for financial assistance of Rs 1 crore 10 lakh issued under the State Bank of India, Police Salary Package, as honorarium to the families of martyred constables Sunil Kumar Ram and Santan Kumar Mehta. The honorarium amount of Rs 1 crore 10 lakh each has been credited to the bank accounts of the families of both the martyred constables. Finance Minister Shri Radha Krishna Kishore was present on the occasion.
Jharkhand will always be indebted to its martyrs
Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren spoke sympathetically and cordially with the families of the martyred soldiers and took complete information about their family situation. The Chief Minister shared the pain of the martyred families. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, boosting the morale of the martyred families, said that the state government always stands with you. The Chief Minister spoke to the mothers, fathers, wives, children, brothers, and other family members of both martyred constables and expressed deep sympathy towards the victim families. He said that martyred constables Sunil Kumar Ram and Santan Kumar Mehta made the supreme sacrifice while serving the people of the state, and we salute their martyrdom. The Chief Minister said that our government deeply understands the pain of the martyred families. Jharkhand will always be indebted to its martyrs. The Chief Minister said that you are being given this honorarium today due to the better coordination and efforts of the state government and officials of the State Bank of India. By making good use of this honorarium, you should work towards providing a positive direction to your children so that their bright future can be ensured.
State government will provide quality education free of cost to the children of martyrs
Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren said that the state government will build a separate residential school in Ranchi for providing free education to the children of martyred soldiers. These schools will be run on the lines of private schools, where children will receive quality education. He said that four acres of land have been identified in Jharkhand Jaguar for the construction of the school. This school will be run by the police department. The Chief Minister said that the state government is also considering building a hospital for the jawans and personnel of our police department, and a better action plan will be prepared soon to give shape to the hospital construction work. The state government is also committed to providing better health services to the people of the police family.
Keep moving the family forward strongly with courage and patience
Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren told the families of the martyrs that the state government is trying to boost the morale of the members of the martyred families. Our government deeply feels your grief and sorrow. Our government will continue to provide all possible help to the families of the martyrs in their honor. The Chief Minister said that you should provide good education to your children and keep moving the family forward strongly with courage and patience, do not be afraid of challenges. Whenever you need, meet the senior officials of the police department without hesitation, and the officials will try to reduce your pain.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren instructed the officials present to provide all types of benefits due to the families of the martyrs to them promptly. On this occasion, officials informed the Chief Minister that the wives of both martyrs are graduates. As per the rules of the police department, both will be given clerical jobs. They informed that based on the agreement between the state government and the State Bank of India, financial assistance of Rs 1 crore 10 lakh each has been provided to both families today. Including the amount fixed by the police department for police personnel martyred in terrorist incidents, an estimated amount of Rs 2 crore will be made available to both martyred families. The Chief Minister instructed the officials to connect the families with pension and other terminal benefits. Officials informed the Chief Minister that all procedures related to pension and other benefits have been completed.
