Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s recent ‘ox’ remark has drawn sharp criticism from BJP national executive member and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu. Sahu clarified that the person the Chief Minister labeled an ‘ox’ is, in fact, a democratically elected representative of millions and a leading figure in the tribal community. He described the ox as a symbol of rural life, poverty, and agriculture, essential for the sustenance of numerous individuals. Sahu lamented that some individuals, after utilizing the ox’s strength, tend to dismiss its significance and engage in demeaning rhetoric due to excessive pride. He proclaimed that today, the people of villages, the underprivileged, and the farmers are aligning themselves with this very ‘ox.’ This ‘ox,’ he stated, is now seething with anger and resentment, with the public united behind it. The former Chief Minister, being insulted by the ‘ox’ analogy, remains a beloved public servant of long standing. Sahu issued a potent warning: the public will decisively avenge this insult, and the Hemant government should brace itself for the backlash, akin to the powerful charge of an ox. He further elaborated on the public’s discontent, citing pervasive corruption, falsehoods, and exploitation. The state, he argued, suffers from a dire lack of essential services in health and education, alongside inadequate infrastructure. Sahu accused the administration of facilitating rampant illegal extraction of resources like sand, stone, and minerals. He also pointed to widespread youth despair, heightened insecurity among women, and alarming safety concerns for girls even in schools. Sahu affirmed that the public is now fully prepared to rescue the state from its current predicament.
