The mortal remains of Bharat Kapoor, the late younger brother of Minister Yogendra Prasad, were consigned to the flames on Thursday morning. The cremation took place on the banks of the Damodar River in Borobing. The funeral procession, which began at 8 AM, saw Minister Yogendra Prasad, his brother Chitragupt Mahto, and his son Vinay Kapoor participating in the procession. Aditya Kapoor, son of the deceased, performed the final rites. The event was attended by a large gathering of supporters and well-wishers. Several prominent figures offered their condolences, including JMM Central Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya and State Minister Fagu Besra. Giridih MP Chandraprakash Choudhary and MLA Roshanlal Choudhary visited Kapoor’s residence to express their sorrow and offer condolences to the grieving family. Officials from Bokaro and Ramgarh districts, along with thousands of people from Gomia and Ramgarh, were also present. Bharat Kapoor breathed his last at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on July 2, after being treated there for approximately nine days.
