The BJP has named Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. This decision, announced by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, marks a significant shift in the party’s organizational structure in the state. Sahu’s appointment fills the vacancy left by Ravindra Kumar Rai. The appointment of Aditya Sahu as the Executive President of the Jharkhand BJP has been implemented with immediate effect, replacing Ravindra Rai who held the position during the assembly elections. National Secretary Arun Singh issued a formal announcement on Friday.
During the Jharkhand Assembly elections, Aditya Sahu was in charge of the Kolhan division. In 2022, he was nominated by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh to represent Jharkhand in the Rajya Sabha, which he subsequently won without opposition. Before this new role, Sahu held the position of General Secretary within the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP. The previous Executive President, Dr. Ravindra Kumar Roy, former MP from Koderma, had been in this role until the recent appointment, which occurred just prior to the 2024 assembly elections.
