Samira S, the Deputy Commissioner of Palamu, conducted a surprise inspection at the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Lesliganj, scrutinizing every aspect of the institution. Her keen observation covered student attendance records, the presence of faculty, the hygiene and functionality of the kitchen, and the living conditions in the dormitories. A critical point of discussion was the ongoing construction, where she sought details from the junior engineer. Immediate repairs were ordered for a leaking water tank, and the installation of mosquito nets in student quarters was stressed as a priority. Demonstrating her commitment, the Deputy Commissioner stepped into a classroom, engaging students from grades nine and eleven in interactive question-and-answer sessions. Further inspections covered the science lab, computer facilities, kitchen stores, and the main storeroom. This visit followed a directive from the Deputy Commissioner to various officials to inspect designated schools. A post-inspection meeting with the school’s female staff addressed crucial administrative matters. Questions were raised about the last PTM, and teachers were urged to ensure student notebooks were consistently updated and the syllabus completed on schedule. Vital records, including registers for SMC, attendance, and stock, were examined. The stock register was impounded for a deeper inquiry due to suspected irregularities. Emphasizing accountability, the Deputy Commissioner announced that this was her second inspection and warned of decisive action during her third visit if deficiencies persist. She specifically highlighted the need to ensure student attendance remains above 75%. The Deputy Development Commissioner, Javed Hussain, reviewed expenditure-related documents. Meanwhile, other officials conducted inspections in various schools within the Nilamber-Pitamberpur area, covering institutions like UPG Rajakrit School Banuwa, Rajakrit Madhya Vidyalaya Parshuramkhap, and PM Upgraded +2 School Dhanagaon, among others. A consolidated review of all inspection reports took place subsequently.
