The threat, delivered over the phone, stated that the minister would be ‘eliminated within 24 hours.’ The call was made by an unidentified individual, causing immediate concern among authorities.
The minister promptly reported the incident to the police, initiating an immediate investigation. The police are focusing on the mobile number used to make the threatening call. According to reports, the caller issued the warning on the night of July 3rd, using strong language. Dr. Ansari quickly informed Ranchi’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kumar Sinha, about the threat. The police are now actively working to identify the person behind the call.
Dr. Irfan Ansari is currently in Delhi, attending to the state’s Minister of Minority Welfare, Hafizul Ansari, who is unwell. During the call, the perpetrator also used abusive language towards the minister. The threatening call came from the mobile number 7903928578. Police are investigating the ownership of this number and working to apprehend the suspect. Dr. Irfan Ansari is a veteran politician, having won the Jamtara assembly seat three times as a Congress candidate. He is a minister in the Hemant Soren cabinet. Previously, he served as Rural Development Minister and currently manages the Health, Food Supply, and Disaster Management departments. Known for making frequent public statements, this incident has brought Dr. Irfan Ansari back into the headlines.
