In a shocking incident in Jharkhand’s Giridih district, a disagreement over a debt of only 50 rupees turned deadly. Maksood Ansari is accused of murdering his friend, Anoul Ansari. The Giridih Sadar SDPO, Jitvahan Oraon, has confirmed the arrest of Maksood Ansari. The police investigation has unveiled crucial details about the crime. According to the SDPO, the incident occurred on the night of August 31st near the Mundradih mosque in the Bengabad police station area. Anoul Ansari was killed by Maksood Ansari with a knife, allegedly over a 50-rupee debt. Following the filing of a case at the Bengabad police station, the SP constituted an SIT. The SIT, under the leadership of the Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer, employed various technical methods to apprehend Maksood Ansari from the Ashgandho jungle. The knife used in the murder has also been recovered. The investigation is also focused on determining if anyone else was involved. The deceased, Anoul Ansari, had borrowed ₹200 from his friend, Maksood Ansari. On the day of the incident, he repaid ₹150. This left ₹50 outstanding, leading to a heated argument that quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
Maksood Ansari launched a series of knife attacks on his friend, Anoul Ansari, inflicting serious injuries that proved fatal. Following the murder, Maksood Ansari had fled. The SIT team formed by the Giridih police arrested him. The incident of a friend murdering a friend has become a major talking point in the city. Earlier, on August 19, an elderly couple, Navgopal Saha and his wife Bibhu Saha, residents of Chorkatta village in the Muffasil police station area of Dumka district, were brutally murdered in their own home. Their son-in-law, Subal Saha, was arrested in connection with the case for allegedly not paying around ₹2 lakh.
