The Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway has been inaugurated, offering a critical link within the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway network. This development is set to improve regional links and boost tourism. The travel time from Delhi-NCR to Jaipur has been drastically reduced to between two and a half to three hours. The 66.91 km long expressway provides a fast, comfortable, and safe travel option. The route was opened to the public on July 15, following thorough safety inspections.
The expressway connects Sohna (Haryana) to Mozmabad (Rajasthan) via Bandikui, forming an essential part of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. All required safety measures and signage have been implemented, as stated by a senior NHAI official.
The construction of this 66.91-km stretch cost Rs 1,368 crore. According to the NHAI, the road currently serves over 15,000 vehicles per day, with expectations of further growth. The expressway is engineered for high-speed travel, allowing a maximum speed of 120 kmph.
The opening of the Bandikui-Jaipur Expressway represents a milestone in India’s road infrastructure, linking Sohna in Haryana and Mozmabad in Rajasthan. It is intended to encourage economic expansion, faster commutes, and stronger regional ties. The expressway is anticipated to enhance tourism in Rajasthan and ease the transport of goods and passengers between Delhi-NCR and Jaipur. Travellers can anticipate a pleasant journey, with travel times shortened significantly. This segment is part of the broader Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, poised to redefine connectivity in northern and western India.
