Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who resigned from his position on July 22nd, will be residing at a farmhouse in Chhatarpur. Details have emerged regarding his future accommodation, including his application for a pension on August 30th. Dhankhar is scheduled to move to the 15 Gadaipur Farm House in Chhatarpur next week. He has also written to the Ministry of Urban Development, requesting a government bungalow as per protocol. Until he receives the official allotment of a government residence, he will stay at the Chhatarpur farmhouse. The Directorate of Estates, under the Ministry of Urban Development, has already prepared a Type 8 bungalow on 34 APJ Abdul Kalam Marg. The CPWD officials have indicated that the renovation and furnishing of the bungalow will require about three months. As per established rules, former high-ranking officials are provided with a Type-8 bungalow in Delhi. Alternatively, they have the option of receiving land at their ancestral location. Dhankhar stepped down from his position due to health concerns, and the election for the new Vice President is scheduled for September 9th.
